Jessica Simpson Just Revealed Her Baby Girl’s Name Is Birdie At Bridal Shower

The pop singer is expecting her third child ― a girl ― with husband Eric Johnson. Simpson revealed the name of her little one, Birdie, at her baby shower, which was appropriately called “Birdie’s Nest.” A source close to Simpson confirmed to HuffPost the name is accurate. The former reality star and designer shared photos of herself at the shower, surrounded by family, over the weekend. She captioned them “Birdie’s Nest,” matching the neon sign hanging at her shower, and “Birdie Beauty.”  “This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” Simpson wrote in an Instagram announcement at the time. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.” Simpson and her former NFL player hubby already have two children together, Maxwell Drew and Ace Knute. She previously told El...

Spike Lee Finally Nominated For Best Director, Best Picture Oscars

Filmmaker Spike Lee finally got his due at the Oscar nominations. The 61-year-old auteur’s “BlacKkKlansman” earned nods for best picture and best director Tuesday, marking the first time Lee has been recognized by the Academy in both categories. “BROOKLYN IN DA OSCARS YA DIG? SHO-NUFF,” he wrote on Instagram. Lee has endured an inexplicable scarcity of Oscar love after being nominated for his “Do The Right Thing” screenplay in 1990. But the landmark film was surprisingly omitted from best picture and best director consideration. His documentary “4 Little Girls” also picked up a nomination in 1998, but that’s his last whiff of a competitive Oscar. He has received an honorary Oscar, however. The Academy might have just righted history in one fell swoop, especially if Lee goes on to win. “Bla...

RuPaul Advises Meghan Markle To Shut Down Haters In A Very RuPaul Way

According to RuPaul, royal duchesses can learn a thing or two from drag queens with regard to navigating the limelight.  The pop icon and host of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” offered some words of advice for Meghan Markle in a Sunday appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” suggesting the Duchess of Sussex sashay away from her critics.  Global media scrutiny of Markle has intensified since she announced she was pregnant in October 2018. In recent weeks, the duchess has been accused of “difficult” behavior and pitted against her sister-in-law, the former Kate Middleton. Then, of course, there are reports of ongoing strife between Markle and many of her U.S.-based family members.  On Sunday, however, RuPaul offered a very simple but strongly worded suggestion on how Markle should han...

Meghan Markle Earns Funny ‘Foodie’ Nickname From Makeup Artist Friend

Meghan Markle may be the Duchess of Sussex now, but that doesn’t mean the royal has forgotten her roots.  The former “Suits” actress met with her longtime friend, makeup artist Daniel Martin, over the weekend, and prepared an old snack he said reminded him of their avocado-toast past.  Martin shared a snap of the snack, pictured with tea and two kinds of chocolate truffles.  “Back to our Tig days,” the makeup artist wrote, referencing Meghan’s former lifestyle site, “The Tig,” which has since been deleted.  “Thank you Meghan for being the consummate hostess this weekend and still being the #avocadotoast whisperer, YUM!” Martin added, using the hashtags “foodie” and “foodiegram.”  The two friends first met in 2011 at a press event for “Suits.” Martin famously did the makeup for Duchess Megh...

Angelica Hale Earns Second Golden Buzzer On ‘America’s Got Talent: The Champions’

Angelica Hale wasn’t singing for second place on Monday’s “America’s Got Talent: The Champions.” The 2017 “AGT” runner-up, now 11, belted out “Fight Song” to became the first performer to receive two Golden Buzzers in the series. Right after her spirited performance, Hale received unabashed praise from judge Heidi Klum, but got a slightly more tepid response from Mel B, who said she had hoped Angelica would put her own twist on the Rachel Platten hit. Then Howie Mandel gave Angelica perhaps the highest compliment of all, pushing the Golden Buzzer to vault her into the finals against the likes of Susan Boyle. “I never expected this to happen,” Angelica said. Angelica’s personal story provided compelling background for her ascent on Season 12. She was 4 when she received a lifesaving kidney ...

Twitter Gives Rudy Giuliani Hell For His Imagined Talk To St. Peter

People on Twitter unleashed their devilish sense of humor after Rudy Giuliani said he could explain to St. Peter why “He lied for Trump” might be his epitaph. Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s lead attorney in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation, was discussing the impact his defense of Trump might have on his own legacy. “I am afraid it will be on my gravestone: ‘Rudy Giuliani: He lied for Trump,’” the former New York mayor told The New Yorker in an article posted Monday. “Somehow, I don’t think that will be it. But, if it is, so what do I care? I’ll be dead. I figure I can explain it to St. Peter. He will be on my side.” Giuliani said he was joking, and denied saying anything “untruthful” as a lawyer. But some folks believed his imagined chat with St. Peter could never happen...
