Nicki Minaj Pulls Out Of Concert After BET Disses Her In Cardi B Tweet

Nicki Minaj made sure that BET paid for the shade. The rapper announced Monday that she was dropping out of the BET Experience music festival after the TV network dissed her with a tweet about her rival, Cardi B. Minaj wasn’t even up for a Grammy, but BET dredged up past tensions between the two rappers anyway with its tweet. In noting Cardi B’s historic Best Rap Album victory at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, BET wrote that “Nicki Minaj is being dragged by her lacefront.” pic.twitter.com/K1jQXG6b5H — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) February 11, 2019 Young Money will no longer be apart of the BET Experience or award show. ♥️🙏🏽♥️ Summer Tour dates dropping soon 🦄 — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) February 11, 2019 Minaj appeared to throw in fellow artists at Young Money, which includes the record label’s founder, Li...

Alicia Keys Wraps Grammys Night With First New Song In Almost 3 Years

With her historic Grammys hosting gig behind her, Alicia Keys has gifted fans with new music.  “Raise A Man” is Keys’ first new song since her 2016 album, “Here.” The piano-driven, searingly topical ballad finds the 15-time Grammy winner expressing gratitude for good men, and a plea to raise more of them.  “Tonight was such a musical night,” the singer-songwriter wrote on Instagram after Sunday’s awards show. “I decided to drop a new vibe & have some fun with y’all!!!”  “You’re just not like these other men out here,” she sings on the track. “You just wanna hold me, and that’s OK. Can I be a woman for you, babe, in a time when it’s not allowed?”   “Is it OK to love a man right now? If you understand, then show me your hands,” she continues.  The song was a fitting finale to a spectacul...

Diana Ross’ Grandson Raif-Henok Is Supremely Adorable In Grammys Speech

Diana Ross’ grandson is a tough act to follow, even if the performer is Ross herself. The Motown legend was celebrating her 75th birthday early at the Grammy Awards on Sunday, and her 9-year-old grandson Raif-Henok Emmanuel Kendrick got the honor of introducing her. The kid charmed the audience from the moment he hit the stage. After host Alicia Keys described him as a “distinguished little guy,” Raif-Henok went to work: “Did she say ‘little guy’?” he asked. “I’m almost 4-foot-9!” It’s official: @DianaRoss‘ grandson has the cutest #GRAMMYs performance introduction of the night. 🙌 pic.twitter.com/tITfJMnKOc — CBS (@CBS) February 11, 2019 The youngster, whose mother is Ross’ daughter, Rhonda Ross (and whose grandfather is Motown Records founder Berry Gordy) praised his grandmothe...

Someone Save Lady Gaga From This Awkward Ryan Seacrest Grammys Interview

If you thought an award show would go by without Lady Gaga shutting down the red carpet, then you’d be sorely mistaken with the actress continuing her streak at the 2019 Grammy Awards.  Before the “A Star Is Born” actress even arrived at the ceremony, she’d already picked up two awards honoring her country folk album “Joanne” and her record-breaking duet “Shallow” from the Bradley Cooper-directed romance drama.  While Gaga consistently turns heads on the red carpet ― her silver high-slit dress with matching heels was no exception ― an uncomfortable interview with E! News correspondent Ryan Seacrest was the thing to send Twitter users off the deep end.  The interview started well but took an awkward turn when Seacrest pointed the mic toward Gaga without even asking a question.  Gaga was see...

Ariana Grande Accuses Grammys Of ‘Lying’ About Why She’s Not Performing

Ariana Grande is breaking her silence on why she’s no longer attending the Grammy Awards. The “thank u, next” singer was scheduled to take the stage at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night but dropped out of the award show all together over a reported clash with producers over artistic control.  The pop star apparently intended to showcase her new single, “7 Rings,” but reportedly felt “insulted” when producers refused to let her play the song and later suggested she include the track in a medley instead.   Speaking with The Associated Press on Thursday, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich claimed that Grande “felt it was too late for her to pull something together” after a breakdown in conversations with the singer.  “As it turned out when we finally got the point where we thought maybe...

21 Savage Responds To ICE Arrest; Lawyers Say He Never Hid Immigration Status

Attorneys for 21 Savage said Monday that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is refusing to release the Grammy-nominated rapper on bond and called his arrest a civil law violation. The 26-year-old, whose legal name is She’yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was detained early Sunday morning after being accused of overstaying his visa. ICE reported that he was arrested as part of a “targeted operation,” saying the rapper was actually from Britain and came to America with his family as a minor. Abraham-Joseph’s lawyers confirmed that his family overstayed their work visas in a statement Monday but said Savage was “left without legal status through no fault of his own.” “This is a civil law violation, and the continued detention of Mr. Abraham-Joseph serves no other purpose than to unnecessarily pun...
